授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This course is designed to build students’ abilities to understand natural spoken English in academic contexts. Students will listen to passages such as academic lectures, formal presentations, meetings, and conversations between students. Skills such as note-taking, making inferences, and discussion will be practiced in class. The course also aims to develop learners’ critical thinking skills and overall academic literacy. 基礎的なリスニング力を大学での勉強や仕事に活かせる実践的なレベルに発展させます。日常会話、インタビュー、レクチャーなどを聞いて内容を確認するほか、TOEIC®の聴解問題にも取り組み、頻出表現の学習を行います。
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	This is a designated course offered to freshmen in the Faculties of Law and Economics, and to majors of German and French. This course is offered in parallel with Academic Reading Strategies I (ARS I), and students are placed in classes according to their majors and level of proficiency. The classes are taught online. 春学期の授業はすべてオンラインで実施します。 授業内容の提示、資料配布、課題提出は、学内システムであれば主に「PorTa II 」または 「My DOC」 を利用します。どのシステムを使うかは、授業担当教員の指示に従うこと。
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	1. My DOC上のTOEIC?自習教材（１２回分）は各自のペースで取り組むこと。繰り返しの使用を推奨します。毎週１セットは必ず取り組むこと。 2. 授業担当教員の指示に従って課題に取り組むこと。
