授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	実質的なエッセイライティングを学ぶ．1パラグラフ内の論理構成の技術をもとに，複数パラグラフによる文章構成法?変化の記述?原因-結果?説得?分類?対立意見の表現などの内容構成法におけるレポートやリサーチペーパー作成のための基礎練習を行う．このためにITを含む各種技法を学ぶ．このほか随時正書法上の重要事項を学習する．また，Criterionも利用する．Provides opportunities to develop extended skills in essay writing. Activities include writing reports and short research papers using structural principles in describing changes, stating cause and effect, convincing people, and expressing opinions. Emphasis is placed on the process of writing, as well as the product, by introducing various skills including IT. Orthographical skills are also taught. Students continue to use Criterion.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	本授業では (1) manaba を教材提示?課題回収?評言返送に用いる，(2) グループ学習等により学生同士の意見交換の機会を設ける，(3) 教員は授業に先立ち必要な教材を提供する． In this class we ... (1) use manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback, (2) provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group work and peer reviews of oral/written products, and (3) distribute learning materials in advance in combination with real-time classes. 授業の主要な使用言語は英語とする．また，作文課題は原則として電子書類で提出するものとする．受講者はポートフォリオを作成することが求められる．The class is taught/participated in English as a major means of communication.  The students are expected to type written assignments.  Students must keep a portfolio for reflective learning. 授業は14回のうち対面によるものを7回，遠隔（初回を含む）によるものを7回設ける．Class will be a hybrid of face-to-face in the classroom and online (7 lessons each). Further details will be announced in the first class.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	各回とも十分な予習?復習を必要とする．また，課題は必ず期限までに提出しなければならない．Requires sufficient review and preview of each class. Assignments must be submitted before the deadline.
