授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This one-term required class for first-year students develops a range of English language skills (with an emphasis on oral communication) by applying practical communication strategies to help build on those linguistic skills learned by students in high school. Overall Objectives 1. To give students maximum opportunities to communicate 2. To build student confidence in interpersonal communication 3. To develop the basic study skills needed to successfully carry out their four years of English study at this institution
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	Students will be shown examples of ways to ask & answer English questions. Then, students will be invited to produce their OWN spoken replies to similar questions/similar situations...and to explain a LOT, in modern, high-EQ English. English pairwork will be requested, so that classmates can get to know each other better.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Please do homework assignments as soon as possible (the same day; or the next day). Waiting until the last minute to do assignments/homework (‘ichiyazuke’) is NOT a good way to prepare for classes. *NOTE: IF the VIRUS situation gets BAD again, Online classes might be needed.(IF that happens: please e-mail me at tonydur2020@gmail.com)
