授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	This course aims to help students develop their English language skills, focusing on oral communication. The emphasis will be on practical communication, building on the students’ existing knowledge. The overall objectives for the course are: 1 To give students maximum opportunities to communicate. 2 To build student confidence in interpersonal communication. 3 To develop the basic skills needed to confidently continue their studies in future all-English classes.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	We will follow a thematic syllabus introducing a topic with a recording, a video or a reading passage. This will be followed by guided conversations and discussions on the topic. The speaking activities will be reinforced by writing assignments. Please see Manaba in early April for the latest information on taking the first class.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	Preparation: about 30~60 minutes per week. Homework: about 30~60 minutes per week.
