This course focusses on improving students' reading and writing skills specifically with regards to vocabulary, grammar and developing active reading strategies to allow students to engage with a text. The aim is for students to understand how argumentative (or persuasive) texts are structured and learn the fundamentals of English essay writing. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course |
We will analyse the structure and practise writing argumentative essays. Students will write two essays during the semester. Students will submit a first draft and a final copy of each essay. Students will be given written and/or verbal feedback for both draft copies and final copies of their essays. |
